Medical Insurance Coding & Billing Specialists work in the hospitals, doctors' and insurance companies' offices. They analyze patient records to determine legitimacy of admission, treatment and length of stay in the health-care facility, and verify that the patient's costs are covered by either a government agency or a medical insurance company.
This course will enable the student to perform administrative functions using software program. The student will enter information on a new patient, assign a chart number to a patient, enter information on an accident or illness, locate and charge information on an stablished patient, delete records on a patient who is not longer seeing the doctor.More
